HumansLikeStuff Pilot Terms
Last updated: August 24, 2026
These terms govern the HumansLikeStuff (“HLS”) public pilot. HLS is an agent-first, manually reviewed service for arranging physical-world outcomes for people in the United States. The pilot is not a catalog, autonomous shopping wallet, or guarantee that any submitted request can be fulfilled.
1. Public pilot scope
The public HLS MCP exposes exactly two tools:
requestsubmits one bounded physical-world outcome; andstatusretrieves the bounded public state for one exact opaque HLS request ID.
There is no public list, search, reply, cancel, catalog, wallet, payment, charge, or autonomous purchasing tool. A human contact email is required. HLS v0 supports United States shipping only. HLS may fulfill manually and may route safe, non-prohibited requests outside the initial gifting, branded-merchandise, personalization, and physical-campaign wedge to human review.
2. A request is not acceptance or a purchase
Submitting a request creates a durable HLS request record. It does not mean HLS has accepted the work, committed to a supplier, guaranteed availability or timing, purchased anything, or charged anyone. HLS may ask questions, prepare a quote, place the request in manual review, decline it, or be unable to proceed.
3. Human authority and agent limits
An AI agent may submit a request, relay information, and check status. It does not authorize or execute a charge through HLS. A human payer must review and approve any fixed quote through the hosted payment path. HLS does not purchase from a supplier before verified human payment, and a request must not be described as paid, fulfilling, shipped, or delivered unless its durable HLS status says so.
4. Quotes and payment
Any HLS quote is a fixed, expiring, all-in amount tied to one request and may include merchandise or fulfillment, shipping, tax or other applicable fees, and the HLS execution fee. The quote’s stated scope, destination summary, total, currency, expiration, and next action control. An expired or replaced quote cannot be relied on.
The currently deployed hosted payment path is Stripe test mode only and does not accept an external live payment. Live payment remains separately gated and will not be enabled merely by publishing these terms.
5. Manual capacity and response boundary
Proposed founder approval sentence: HLS is a manually operated pilot. Requests are reviewed on a best-effort basis during normal United States business days; HLS does not guarantee a response, quote, acceptance, fulfillment, shipping, or delivery deadline unless HLS confirms it in writing for the specific request.
A requested arrival date is a constraint for review, not a promise. Do not rely on HLS for emergencies, safety-critical needs, regulated procurement, or any outcome where delay could cause harm.
6. Cancellation, refunds, and returns
Before payment, the human may request cancellation by emailing support@humanslikestuff.com; there is no public cancel tool. An unpaid request may be cancelled only when HLS can still stop the active payment path.
The current implementation supports one refund shape: a human-authorized full refund before fulfillment begins, while the durable request is still in the paid/pre-fulfillment state. A pending or failed refund blocks supplier fulfillment until resolved. The current payment path is test mode; this paragraph does not state that external live payments are available.
After HLS begins fulfillment or places a supplier order, cancellation, refund, replacement, or return is not guaranteed. Custom, personalized, made-to-order, perishable, or time-sensitive goods may be non-returnable. Any available remedy depends on the specific facts, the approved quote, supplier or carrier terms, item condition, customization, and applicable requirements. Report damaged, defective, incorrect, missing, or materially late items promptly to support@humanslikestuff.com; HLS will review the request and pursue any available supplier or carrier remedy without promising an outcome that has not been confirmed.
7. Artwork, branding, messages, and intellectual property
By submitting artwork references, logos, branding, personalization instructions, messages, or other content, the requester represents that they are authorized to use and provide that material for the requested fulfillment. The requester authorizes HLS and the selected providers to reproduce, adapt, transmit, and use the material only as reasonably needed to evaluate, quote, produce, fulfill, and support the request.
Do not submit counterfeit, infringing, deceptive, abusive, unlawful, or unauthorized material. HLS may request clarification or proof of authorization and may decline or stop work when authorization is uncertain or the request creates legal, safety, reputation, or provider-policy risk.
8. Prohibited and sensitive requests
HLS declines prohibited, regulated, clearly high-risk, illegal, sanctioned, or abusive requests. Current examples include weapons or explosives; alcohol, nicotine, recreational drugs, CBD, or THC; prescription or restricted drugs; gift cards, stored value, or cash equivalents; hazardous materials requiring special handling; live animals; counterfeit or stolen goods; and requests requiring unnecessary health data, government IDs, financial-account credentials, passwords, or other secrets. This list is illustrative, not exhaustive.
9. Privacy and support
HLS handles request information under the published HLS Privacy Notice. Order clarification uses orders@humanslikestuff.com. Cancellation, privacy, refund, return, and general support requests use support@humanslikestuff.com. Agent-visible status remains the source of truth for the durable public request state and next action.
10. Changes
HLS may update these pilot terms as the service, providers, or operating model changes. The current version will be published at this URL. A material change does not retroactively alter a fixed quote or supplier commitment already confirmed for a specific request unless the human agrees or the change is required for safety or compliance.
